The Oaks Club at Valencia was designed with input from two-time major champion Mark O'Meara, and it plays as demanding as that pedigree suggests: 18 holes across 7,218 yards, with views of the Santa Clarita Valley from several holes. The 32,400 square foot clubhouse leans into an old California ranch style, built for members to stay and talk after a round instead of heading straight for the parking lot. Vista Valencia sits just south of Six Flags Magic Mountain and packs two golf experiences onto one 27-hole property: an 18-hole, par-61 executive course and a separate 9-hole, par-3 course. That combination makes it flexible for a quick practice round or a longer outing, and it works for a beginner and a more experienced player in the same group without either one being bored.
